Men are socialized to be strong and successful. The last thing a man wants to do is admit his weakness or failure. But men are people too. They may try to project that they have a big “S” on their chest but yet they are very vulnerable to many of the same feelings of insecurity that many women experience. Growing up exposed to many unwholesome things many men start early seeking recognition and attention that sets them apart from the crowd. In this quest many men find themselves trapped in vices that threaten every thing of value in their lives. Including their relationships and children. The Men’s program is a great way for a man to calibrate his life. Get back in line with his values and aspirations.
Often it is pride that keeps men from seeking help. But pride can get in the way of progress. If you know you need help why hesitate? Focus on becoming a better you.
We see many retired military men in our group. Military men often face difficulty adjusting to civilian life. The Life Recovery group provides a positive source of fellowship with like-minded men going through many of the same issues. Learn more about the recovery program here.
